Luv Shack helped pull Vienna dance music away from the shadow of the city’s famous downtempo era without rejecting slowness or warmth. Its records favour rubbery bass, analogue colour, boogie swing and disco memory, but acid lines, electro angles and deeper house keep the catalogue from settling into retro pastiche.
