Walter Gröbchen joins the board of IFPI Austria
The Vienna label operator and music manager has gained a formal role inside Austria's recorded-music trade body.

IFPI Austria elected Walter Gröbchen to its board at the association's general assembly on 24 June. The appointment places a long-standing independent label operator, manager and network-builder inside the body representing Austria's recorded-music industry.
Gröbchen's career links label work, artist development, retail and cultural projects. That breadth is relevant when electronic artists often move between self-release platforms, small labels and licensing partners rather than one conventional route.
IFPI's announcement confirms the vote and mica adds industry context. Neither source assigns a policy portfolio to the new board member, so SCENE:ID does not infer one.
