Animal Trainer

Animal Trainer is the Zürich electronic project of Adrian Flavor and Samy Jackson. Its deep- and tech-house sound grew alongside Rakete, the party series at Hive. The duo began releasing music with Talkshow in 2008 and subsequently worked with labels including Poker Flat, Mobilee, Einmusika and its own Hive Audio. The 2013 album Wide included collaborations with Jan Blomqvist and Jimi Jules. The project also distinguishes Animal Trainer DJ, performed by Adi, and Animal Trainer Live, performed by Samy. Joint hybrid appearances bring those approaches together. This combination of studio work, DJ sets and live performance remains rooted in Zürich's club community.
