Lausanne label Fantastic Friends Recordings has opened another route into its back catalogue with Fantastic Friends Classics Vol. 1. The compilation, released on 4 September 2026 and announced by the label on 7 September, assembles twelve tracks. The label says the selection includes recordings making their first appearance in digital form after vinyl-only releases.

A catalogue, not twelve new tracks

The collection includes work by Daniel Meister, Nicolas Duvoisin, Lukea, Christian Burkhardt and Cesare vs Disorder, alongside further contributors to the label's minimal-house catalogue. Vern's remix of Duvoisin's Black Market also appears in the sequence.

The distinction matters: this is an archive release, not a claim that all the music was newly recorded for September. Its value lies in making parts of a Swiss label's history easier to obtain and revisit without tracking down individual pressings. For DJs and listeners discovering Fantastic Friends now, the compilation provides a broad introduction to existing work and its network of collaborators.
