Nëntokë opens its second compilation beyond Albania

The Tirana collective's NNTK002 connects its local underground roots with ten contributors from a wider network of electronic artists.

Nëntokë Recordings released its second various-artists collection, NNTK002, on 1 September 2026. The Tirana-based label describes it as a step beyond the Albanian focus of its first compilation: ten tracks bring together artists from its local scene and a wider underground network. The collection is available digitally and was released in a limited run of 50 CDs.

From a local document to a wider exchange

NNTK001 appeared in August 2025 with twelve Albanian artists, according to the label. A year later, the second volume opens the invitation beyond the country. Its contributors include Edmond Wells, Negastiv, Anascole, Mwamwa, KURIR, Christian Duka, 010010, Nocturnal Phase, Sapatek and XIXAVEGA. The label describes the selection as moving between techno, breaks and experimental electronic music.

That wider scope gives the release its significance for Albania's scene. Rather than treating the first compilation as an isolated snapshot, Nëntokë is using the same series to connect its home community with artists elsewhere. Underground Agimi has also described 010010's work with Nëntokë in the context of free parties in Albania. The two projects point to a network that moves between recordings and physical spaces, though a release alone cannot measure the reach of that network.

NNTK002 was compiled by Luiz M. and mastered by Christian Duka; Deborah Leka is credited for the artwork. For listeners looking beyond a single club programme, the compilation offers a way to hear the collective's changing curatorial approach in one place.
