Vorarlberg has changed how it supports new composition. Instead of continuing its former prize, the Land is offering a €10,000 commission for a 15-to-20-minute large-ensemble work, with electronics allowed and innovative approaches encouraged.
Applicants need a clear connection to Vorarlberg. The selected work is scheduled to premiere at Texte & Töne on 6 November 2027 in the ORF Funkhaus Dornbirn.
The call creates a funded route into an institutional ensemble setting for hybrid work built from live processing, spatial sound or interaction between acoustic performers and machines.
