SCENE:ID started because the information was always there, but never in one place. A club on one page. A promoter in an old post. A brilliant annual event hidden outside the big cities. Whole scenes held together by people whose names rarely travel beyond their own country.

Alex SunDoor is a producer, musician and technology enthusiast with a long trail of international projects behind him. He created SCENE:ID to look at electronic music the way musicians and listeners actually experience it: through places, people, records, nights, conversations and the connections that form around them.
That mix of music, curiosity and a habit of going further than the first search result is the foundation of the project.
A place to be found.
For the clubs, artists, promoters, labels, festivals, booking teams, educators and independent media doing the work that keeps a local scene alive.
Not another directory.
The aim is not to flatten every scene into one global list. It is to give each one enough room to speak in its own voice, then connect those voices. Country by country, SCENE:ID is becoming a working map of electronic music culture — and, eventually, a network through which the people shaping it can find one another.
