Hans Werner Henze

Hans Werner Henze (1926-2012) was a German composer whose wide-ranging output included orchestral, operatic and chamber music alongside works for tape and electronics. Pieces such as his Second Violin Concerto and Tristan place electronic sound inside a politically engaged, theatrically vivid modernist language.
