Helmut Lachenmann

Helmut Lachenmann is a German composer whose 1965 work in Ghent’s electronic studio led to Szenario, his sole published tape piece. He later redirected concrete-music thinking into acoustic instruments, developing the influential idea of musique concrète instrumentale.
