Karlheinz Stockhausen
Karlheinz Stockhausen (1928-2007) was a German composer who reshaped postwar electronic and spatial music. From Studie I and Gesang der Jünglinge to Kontakte and Hymnen, he treated synthesis, tape, live electronics and sound projection as structural elements, expanding how music could occupy time and space.
