TetraTon

TetraTon is the Berlin-based duo of Liz Allbee and Sabine Ercklentz. Working together since 2022, the two experimental trumpeters combine extended playing techniques with electronics and multichannel sound. Each brings independently developed instruments, tools and approaches to producing and distributing sound in space. Their work Close-Up was conceived for two quadraphonic trumpets and performed at Berlin's Uferstudios and ausland in 2022. The project explores both the changing timbre of the trumpet and its electronically expanded spatial possibilities.
