Sofia Gubaidulina

Sofia Gubaidulina (1931-2025) was a Soviet-born composer whose spiritual, tactile music drew unusual instruments into intense acoustic forms. Her electronic work Vivente-Non Vivente, created with the ANS synthesizer and Moscow Experimental Electronic Music Studio choir, extends that search into synthesized sound.
