IKAN HYU released their second album, Withdrawal Symptoms, on 11 September 2026, ten years after Anisa Djojoatmodjo and Hannah Bissegger formed the duo in Winterthur. Its thirteen tracks centre on friendship, closeness and separation, rather than presenting an anniversary as a retrospective collection.

Electronics inside a two-person band

The project sits between electronic production, pop and rock. Radio Vostok's September coverage describes a recording process involving theremin, tape, field recordings and walkie-talkies used as microphones, alongside work with Vienna-based producer SYRIX. The duo's own release page confirms the album and its sequence.

For Switzerland's electronic scene, the record belongs to the hybrid edge: it is not a club EP disguised as a band project, nor a conventional guitar release without electronic invention. The second album documents how two musicians distribute a broad instrumental and production vocabulary between them. It is available through their official Bandcamp, with a new touring cycle beginning this autumn.
