Patrick Forge

Patrick Forge is a London-based DJ and broadcaster whose work connects jazz, soul, Brazilian music, broken beat and house. He was part of the early Kiss radio network, presenting The Cosmic Disco from 1987, and became closely associated with Gilles Peterson through the Sunday sessions at Dingwalls in Camden. His work beyond the booth includes the Rebirth of Cool compilation series and Da Lata, the Brazilian-influenced project formed with Chris Franck. His monthly NTS show continues that cross-genre approach, drawing on tropical rhythms, boogie, jazz and soulful records. Long-form listening and connections between different musical traditions remain central to his selections. The card uses the official NTS profile photograph, a rear-view street portrait rather than a conventional headshot.
