Jason Adasiewicz

Jason Adasiewicz is a Chicago vibraphonist and composer working in jazz and free improvisation. He began as a drummer before making the vibraphone his main instrument, bringing a notably physical approach to its resonance, harmony and melody. He formed the quintet Rolldown and the trio Sun Rooms, and has worked extensively with Rob Mazurek, Nicole Mitchell, Mike Reed, Ken Vandermark and Peter Brötzmann. His music combines melodic writing with open improvisation. In the collaborative trio with Dave Rempis and Chris Corsano, his vibraphone joins saxophone and drums on the 2025 album Dial Up.
